Come out to a rehearsal and see what we are about. Bring your instrument and join in with us on our designated Open Rehearsal days, which happen each spring and fall.
All prospective members of the orchestra must audition. All members are expected to be taking private lessons on their orchestral instrument.
Auditions for 2010 – 2011 season:
Spring Audition Dates: June 12, 19, 26 2010
Fall Audition Dates: September 11, 18 2010
Orchestral Divisions: Openings for all instruments. Violin, Viola, Cello , Bass
Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Percussion
Wind Ensemble: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone,
Brass Ensemble – Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Tuba
Auditions for the upcoming season will take place by appointment. Students will be required to prepare an audition orchestral excerpt for their instrument, along with two contrasting pieces. Please contact our administrator at lena(at)dyo.bc.ca to book an audition time and for more information.

Orchestral Excerpts:
Please review and prepare these orchestral excerpts in advance. Orchestral excerpts must be a part of your audition 
for the orchestra. Wind Ensemble students do not need to prepare excerpts.
